Mid Sussex Golf Club is situated in Ditchling. It’s been designed to high specifications by renowned course architect David Williams and former winner of the European Open, Andrew Murray. The golf club first opened its doors to the public in 1995. Since then the club has grown from strength to strength holding many Sussex Championships, Sussex Opens and a number of County matches and Events which is a great tribute to the quality of the course.
Lee Andrews, the General Manager of the club and a Senior PGA Golf Professional has been at the club for 12 years.
Lee started playing golf when he was 14 and represented Sussex boys under 18’s, turning professional in 1994 hoping to be a tour player. He fell in love with coaching which alongside his General manager role is an important aspect of his job.
As well as a golf club, the business can cater for a huge variety of functions, from dinner dances and balls for 124 guests with a 3 course sit down dinner and coffee, to a 30th Birthday Party with a hot buffet for 180 guests, or a Golden Wedding Anniversary Party with a Carvery Lunch. With space for either a band or disco, and a perfect dance floor, we’re able to make a celebration go with a swing.
We also have a spacious conservatory which is an idyllic place offering a more private, quieter, relaxed and comfortable environment. The room overlooks the 17th and 18th Fairways and the 18th Green as well as the picturesque South Downs. The conservatory can be hired out for meetings, wakes, lunches, baby showers and any small celebrations.
Within the Golf Club, Mid Sussex Golf Club holds resident to a knowledgeable golf Professional Team boasting four PGA coaches in a store that stocks one of the largest golf shops in the South East! It has one of the largest selections of Ladies and Men’s clothing stockists in the South East with brands including Galvin Green, Stuburt, Under Armour, JRB, Pure Golf and more.
We supply a Premier Custom Fit service with expert advice and the complete club fitting experience. We also provide enjoyable group and individual sessions with a structured theme to help all with their progression in all aspects and skills needed to play the game.
