| Manufacturing is one of the largest greenhouse gas emitting sectors, accounting for one-fifth of global emissions and over half of the world’s energy use (source Normative). But in every challenge lies opportunity. Many manufacturing businesses – the vast majority of them small or medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) – are making great strides in reducing their carbon footprint and reaping the business benefits. By adopting sustainable processes, tools, and technologies, they’re re-shaping their businesses to meet legislative, environmental, and ethical standards while safeguarding future prosperity. At this free event, you’ll take a tour of the Adelphi Group of Companies ‘ manufacturing site in Haywards Heath to see how they’ve integrated sustainability into their business, including their innovative heating and cooling systems, water management, and onsite renewable energy generation. You’ll also hear from a panel of experienced West Sussex manufacturing businesses about how they’re making sustainability work for their bottom line. There will be canapes and drinks and you’ll get the opportunity to connect with industry experts and network with like-minded professionals.
