Our Annual General Meeting – A Report

Most of the energy in and around Burgess Hill yesterday morning was to be found at The Hickstead Hotel.

We provided the required reporting and information in front of a quorum of 30+ members. The nitty gritty for the AGM report was kept brief.

We then talked about what we have achieved over the last 12 months and what you can all expect during 2023, including our ambitious targets to continue expanding membership following 30% growth in 2022.

If you would like a copy of that presentation, I’ll be happy to provide slides. In addition, we are offering anyone who would like a copy of our Membership Database, the current ‘Members Version’ as of December 2022. At that point we had 168 members. No contact details of course, but useful if you want to know who our members are, their size and the sector they operate in.

Available only to Members. For your copy email me: richard.cox@bhbpa.co.uk
Kicking off the meeting we had a very well received presentation from awards expert Donna O’Toole on the importance and value of awards, not only winning them, but the whole process of entering for them.

She explained very lucidly the misconceptions many businesses have about them. We will touch on all this in later issues and explain why you should enter our own BH BIz Awards 2024, which we will be launching soon.

We’d also like to extend a big thank you to Kellie and her team at The Hickstead Hotel, who laid on the free breakfast buffet and were exceptionally attentive to our guests.
