| Lost Pier Brewing is what is known as a nomadic brewery operation, this means we do not have our own physical brewery but use others in the area which we go to and brew our beer. It’s a really great way to start out. The idea is to build our presence and brand. When the time is right we’ll get our own brewery but on our terms, investing in the biggest site/production equipment we can rather that upgrading it every year. |
  Dan Gale – Owner and Master Brewer A couple of years ago we had the opportunity to take on a small unit at Sheddingdean estate, this has been fundamental to our growth thanks to a purpose built 132sqm beer cold store and dry goods racking. All of our goods are dispatched from Sheddingdean. Most of our production is currently destined for Sussex market but we have growing demand in the surrounding counties and London. We also held mini tap room pop-ups at our Sheddingdean site in the summer. These are operated ‘out of hours’, that is to say, late nights and weekends. We have attracted over 100 customers some days. They came and enjoyed a cold beer and some food from a local street food vendor. |
| We’re hoping to make these events a weekly operation and have submitted planning permission which is currently in review feel free to show us some support by finding the planning application on the Mid Sussex portal and leaving a comment. We found it became a great little afterwork hub on a Friday with many employees from other businesses winding down with a drink after a long hard weeks work! At least that’s what they told us… |
