Work Aid

Work Aid

This is a Government funded scheme that supports adults with learning disabilities/autistic spectrum condition and helps them find meaningful employment.  I’m Liz and I work in the North of the county which encompasses Mid Sussex.  I have in the past year successfully placed clients in paid and voluntary work and I am now looking for more employers for our clients.  ILG International Logistics Group employ two young men both are autistic and have exceptional attention to detail.

ILG wrote:

We recruited Kyle as a Trainee Warehouse Assistant through Work Aid earlier this year (2015) and we have been really delighted with his attitude and commitment.  He has learnt how to produce pick notes, to pack and dispatch items and he has enrolled on an NVQ in Warehousing and Storage with Central Sussex College.  Through the early months of Kyle’s employment Work Aid has been a huge support to both ILG and Kyle, and we are now working with the organisation to recruit more warehouse assistants across all our locations.  –  Jane Middlemiss, Director of Organisational Development.
