| Future Energy Paradigms, Access & Connectivity and EBISS Logistics EBISS A new warehouse facility EBISS Logistics was the venue yesterday for the November BHBPA meeting which was hosted at their new Victoria Gardens warehouse facility and well attended by BHBPA members. “This was a fantastic opportunity to reinforce our presence in our local community, to show off our new warehouse facility and to let people know a little more about all 3 core aspects of our business: Event Logistics and Support Service, Fine Art shipping and storage, and also our Specialist Global Freight services. Rather than just ‘talk’ about ourselves we thought we’d ‘show’ everyone! Our teams ran three active participation sessions enabling members to really get close to the type of service and support that we offer our clients. As the keynote speaker for the morning was all about energy sustainability, we followed this theme. For example, the Event team focused on the various types of modular, re-usable, re-configurable stands that we can offer, store, ship and install world-wide, although we do also build huge, single use custom stands if that is what our client wants. Our art team highlighted our use of recycled materials for packing, wooden crates for shipping, incredible levels of art experience and expertise supporting our clients with sold works, storage, custom crating and packing, events, exhibitions, and installations. As for our freight services, it was all about customs paperwork, dangerous goods, secure packing and the overall level of customer service that underpins everything we do across all our sectors. We hope that everyone enjoyed their morning with us, learned a little more about our services and how our local business can support them and their clients all over the world, through our wonderful new warehouse environment.” ![]() Over 50 in attendance HS Energy Group HSEnergy Group: Turning Energy from a Cost into an Asset We were delighted to be invited as keynote speaker for the BHBPA ‘Energy Futures’ event and are grateful to both the Association and EBISS for hosting such a brilliant session. Neil Mitchell, Managing Director at HSEnergy Group, delivered a thought-provoking presentation on how AI-powered energy trading and storage is reshaping the way UK businesses manage their energy… turning traditional cost centres into income-generating assets. “With energy bills continuing to rise, adopting this change isn’t just smart, it’s essential,” said Neil. “And where better to start than right here in our local business community.” From battery storage and AI optimisation to full funding options, these technologies are now accessible and cash-positive from day one. If you’re looking to reduce energy costs, increase resilience or just want to learn more, we’d be happy to offer a free energy audit or feasibility study. | WSCC – Access & Connectivity Public Engagement Our event also kicked off a day in Burgess Hill for the WSCC Growth Delivery team to outline the proposed Access & Connectivity scheme for the Victoria Business Park, which we reported on in a separate special edition newsletter on Monday. After our event they were also available for a drop in session at the offices of Sussex Chamber for anyone else to make their comments and inputs. This ofrms part of the Public Engagement phase of the scheme. Safe in Sussex Details of BHBPA’s Christmas Competition We also had an opportunity to hear from Debbie West of Safe in Sussex. This charity tackles domestic abuse, a dark side to Christmas in some households. Their Gingerbread House Decorating Competition is therefore particularly pertinent at this time of year…and why BHBPA has it’s very own competition running at our Christmas event on the 9th of December at The Woolpack. For each £50 entry you receive a high-quality, locally made, traditional gingerbread house kit measuring approx.14cm at the base, 19cm high and 14cm deep, fitting on an 8”/20cm board. Multiple entries accepted. 80% of the entry fee comes direct to us to help those affected by domestic abuse. We are looking for some wild and wacky designs, featuring our members branding, activities, whatever takes your imagination!
