Case Study Visit: Wakehurst Place
November 8th, 10:00 – 12:00, Ardingly
Join the Sustainable Business Partnership CIC for a Case Study Visit to Wakehurst Place. Learn what steps they have taken to save energy and costs across the site, including in the historic Mansion and the state-of-the-art Millennium Seed Bank. You will hear from their Sustainability Manager, Keith Manger, on the challenges and opportunities for energy conservation in both modern and older buildings, as well as how they have found and made effective use of funding for energy saving.
Delegates will have a behind-the-scenes, guided tour of the Millennium Seed Bank, including their underground vault which is not open to the public! There will be the opportunity to network with other local organisations who are interested in saving energy and there will be free access to the gardens after the event. Light refreshments will be provided.
This event is fully-funded through the Utilise Plus programme. Utilise Plus supports small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to improve their energy efficiency. It is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), supported by the Coast-to-Capital Local Enterprise Partnership, and delivered by the Sustainable Business Partnership CIC. Only those from eligible SMEs can join this event. Please note that we will only accept one attendee per organisation. Additional bookings will be added to a waiting list and notified should any places become available.
