Time 24 Assist Speed Record

Contract Manufacturer Time 24 have this week completed work on two fascinating projects.

Firstly they have completed the Control Equipment used on the amazing Bloodhound Project.  This project is a global Engineering adventure, using a 1000 mph world land speed record attempt to inspire the next generation to get involved in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (see www.bloodhoundssc.com). The vehicle (pictured) will go from 0-1000 mph in 55 seconds and next year it is planned to beat the current land speed record of 763 mph at Black Rock Desert in Nevada.

This week also saw Time 24 help complete work by Ardingly Students on a Solar Powered Car (pictured) which will now compete in the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge, a 3020 kilometre race from Darwin to Adelaide in Australia. The Solar Powered Car can reach speeds of up to 50 mph.

Time 24 MD David Shore commented “The enthusiasm and positivity of these kids has been infectious. They have not only developed their Engineering skills but above all their life skills. They have learnt the need to problem solve, to communicate, to work as a team, to work under pressure and to work to a budget”.
