The Mustard Seed Cafe

This article came from Nick Broom at PVL, whose Mum runs a cafe at St Edward’s Church in Royal George Road.

I wanted to introduce you to the amazing community service running at St Edwards Church. I am not sure if you are aware but there is a community café there called the Mustard Seed, its only open Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 9-4pm but offers great food and drinks at great prices, all run by volunteers and with a fabulous ethos (no matter your particular faith or otherwise)

There’s a shining TripAdvisor page here:

They are doing really well (my mother is one of the volunteers), but could always serve more clients and I wondered if you’d consider running a short piece in the newsletter?

I wondered if you could swing by sometime and try the coffee and cake (I’m pretty sure I can smell the amazing BLT’s from here, since there’s a distinct lack of bacon in Abu Dhabi!) and tell your audience of the experience?

I don’t know if it’s possible for them to join BHBPA, they run as a non-profit organisation, purely charitable and by volunteers so they might struggle to even get a representative along, but if it helped, I’d be happy to pay their membership fees if we can get them some increased interest through BHBPA?

I’ve cc’d one of the volunteers in case you want more information,

Anyway, happy to hear your thoughts, and even more interested to hear your feedback once you’ve sampled the goods!
