We only look a little wet! It’s a good job we did not wait until after the tournament to take the photos!
As I have said many times, the hospice is incredibly grateful to BHBPA for all its support of the hospice. The BHBiz Awards was such a fun event and to have raised £2,500 was phenomenal amount of money. We included all the sponsorship money that I think Estie is sorting out?
We often get asked how the money is spent and I thought you might find it useful to see some of the costs that could be covered with the donation.
£600 could train a team of ten new hospice volunteers
£384 could pay for a Healthcare Assistant for a week
£318 could pay to clean the hospice for a week
£112 could pay for a home visit by our palliative consultant
£60 could pay for four complementary therapy sessions in the Beacon View Wellbeing Centre
£27 could pay for one hour of counselling
£23 could pay for one hour of support in a patient’s own home
£19 could pay for one hour of care from a hospice nurse
£10 could help provide a bath for a patient
I hope the event on Tuesday at Q Leisure went well.
Best wishes,
Carolyn
