A chance to learn about electric cars, vans and bikes as well as travel planning and driver training. Plus test drive a range of electric vehicles.
Thérèse Wynn-Davies, Innovation Specialist at Motorline Nissan Crawley, will speak about the advancements in electric vehicles, including purchase and running costs, range (and range anxiety!), charging options and different vehicles available.
There will also be the opportunity to test drive the 24 kW LEAF, the new 30 kW LEAF (155mile range) and an electric van.
Eco Driving & Electric Bikes
Nathan Catt from Sustrans will share how driver training can reduce business fleet fuel consumption as well as making drivers safer and happier.
Nathan will also talk about electric bikes, ideal for journeys through town centres or around large sites without the risk of breaking a sweat. A range of good-looking electric bikes are now available – Nathan will bring one along that you can test ride.
Travel planning isn’t just useful for those with large fleets, but any company with staff who sit in traffic jams or struggle for car parking spaces! Kay Wagland, Environment Officer at Crawley Borough Council, will discuss how initiatives such as staggered work times, car sharing and public transport schemes and can help reduce costs and make for happier employees.
