Sussex Living Magazine monthly update June 2016
Welcome to June at Sussex Living Magazine.
There is much to celebrate this month, and the whole team here are in the party mood! We have the Queen’s 90th Birthday on the 12th June, with lots of street parties and celebrations planned – so get your royal bunting out and pop a bottle of something fizzy. We have lots of events listed in the magazine, but do make sure you check out your local community to see what’s on as well.
Father’s Day also falls this month, on the 19th June. Make him feel special by baking Francesca Freeman’s decadent gluten free dulce de leche cheesecake (p.49), and enjoy a cheeky slice yourself, of course.
We have all your regular favourites this month, from health, beauty and style, to homes and gardens and delicious recipes. Plus many more exciting features – meet Ruby the falcon from page 42, get inspired for a family bike ride on page 22 and learn all about the Burgess Hill firefighters from page 67.
There are many congratulations owed to our three winners from the Spring Quiz we ran in the April issue, and many thanks to everyone who entered the quiz. We had an awful lot of entries and practically every one was correct, so well done all. Thanks also to the Bluebell Railway, Blacklands Farm Camping and the Gogglebox team for so generously donating the prizes.
And the winners are…
Margaret Tyrrell from Burgess Hill who won a family ticket to the Bluebell Railway. Georgie Pope from Barcombe who won a £25 gift voucher to Blacklands Farm Camping. And Naomi Younge from Hailsham who won the signed copy of The Wit and Wisdom of Gogglebox. And you can find he all important answers in the magazine.
Many thanks to all our advertisers and readers for your support, and have a lovely June
