We’re back with a bang this October with an issue packed so full of fabulous features it’s hard to know where to begin!
Let’s start with our fantastic walk on page 22 around West Grinstead by Robert Veitch and his lovely niece. As golden leaves crunch underfoot it’s a splendid time to step outside for an autumnal stroll in the countryside.
At the end of the month many of us don our spooky costumes and head out for some trick or treating fun. Take a look at page 106 if you need inspiration for a creatively creepy Halloween, with some great ghoulish ideas for the kids and home.
Apologies for mentioning the Christmas word in October, but it’s the perfect time of year to start planning for the big day and booking events. Over the next three months we will be running a Christmas countdown to help with the preparations. On page 25, we start with the tricky politics of planning the office party, and how to navigate your way through it unscathed! Also, over the next three issues we are featuring handy guides to the different types of hampers that you can personalise for your loved ones. Look out for the perfect traditional basket on page 36.
Do you like a challenge? If you do, turn to page 119 for our new crossword which we will be running every month. Be warned, you’ll have to ponder over the clues till the following issue for the answers though! We’d like to thank everyone who entered our summer quiz; the answers and winners can be found on p.103.
Along with numerous other articles such as prehistoric Lewes (p.104), West Sussex Care Month (p.80), helping the hedgehogs (p.62) and our wedding special (from p.40) to name but a few, from all of us here at Sussex Living we hope you enjoy a truly bumper read.
