Monthly update Sussex Living November 2016
What with a chill in the air and the clocks now changed, it’s time to start snuggling down for winter.
We have been really taken with the Danish concept of hygge that seems to be taking the world by storm at the moment, and from page 34 Lisa de Silva discovers how to make your home into a hygge haven. It’s such a neat concept, and one we could all easily enjoy this winter; just try taking a few minutes out of your busy day to savour a decadent hot chocolate (with marshmallows and cream of course) for a truly indulgent, hygge moment – yes please!
We are celebrating two anniversaries in our November issue for our local community. Firstly the Market Place Shopping Centre in Burgess Hill is turning 25 this year (full story from page 12) and also the Mid Downs Radio, who keep the patients of the Princess Royal Hospital in Haywards Heath entertained is celebrating turning 40 (p. 8). Congratulations to both of you!
The Sussex Living team enjoyed our own night of celebrations recently at the 6th annual Child Of Sussex Awards. We all had a wonderful time on this special night, which champions the outstanding children we have in Sussex with award categories including Best Brother, Sister or Friend Award, Sporting Star and The Gold Award. Huge congratulations to all the winners and nominees, including Isabel Galvao-King for the Community Award, Sebastian Stevens for the Gold Award and Abi Smith for the Best Friend Award. We hope all of you and your families are very proud of what you have achieved (for full details and winners visit www.childofsussex.co.uk).
And finally, look out for your favourite Sussex Living Magazine in Lewes and Worthing as we are now distributing in these places! Have a wonderful month everyone!
