Smart Phone Connectivity Campaign

Smart Phone Connectivity Campaign

Improvements to smart phone connectivity on the move are needed across Sussex

Over the last few years, mobile reception, essential for businesses on the move to make phone calls to staff and customers, has become intolerable.

What no signal again?

All the major networks typically state 98% or 99% coverage but this is simply not evident when requiring a robust connection on the move. We suggest that the UK mobile network is not “Fit for purpose”. This problem has been highlighted by BHBPA member Michael Yeoman, MD of Spirit of the Downs and Savent Solar. BHBPA is reaching out to its members to build momentum to this campaign.

A big issue for many businesses
Help us build up a consistent message regarding this issue.
We’ve already raised this issue with two of our local MP’s (both Alison Bennett MP and Mims Davies MP). We need dialogue with Network Providers such as EE and O2, Local Economic Development Teams, Tourism bodies, Central Government and Cabinet Members to make them aware of this basic issue.

We’d like to know your viewpoints on this issue.
