Because football is a game for everyone, we will be supporting Stonewall’s Rainbow laces campaign in our Premier League match at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers on 8th December.
The game against Wolves will see a host of activities take place to recognise the significant place the LGBT community has in our sport.
Rose Read, head of people and culture at the club said, “We are pleased to be a part of the wider football communities’ efforts to make football accessible and welcoming to everyone. We ask that all fans support our local and wider LGBT communities’ in football.”
Paul Callander, finance officer, and project co-ordinator for Albion’s presence at Brighton and Hove Pride, added, “We are proud to be able to actively show the wider football community the inclusive and welcoming club that we are. Few clubs in Europe are more pro-active in welcoming all members of the LGBT community to football than Brighton & Hove Albion”.
Brighton & Hove Albion staff and supporters took to the streets of the city for Brighton and Hove Pride 2019 in August this year, and have partnered with the biggest Pride event in the UK for the past two years.
Tickets are still available for the game at tickets.BrightonAndHoveAlbion.com.
The stadium superstore will have a host of Pride merchandise on sale in the week leading up to the match.
Please show your support for the match as we work to make football everyone’s game.
