Platinum Sport – Launch issue
The new issue of Platinum Business Magazine is out now – featuring our brand new Sports section.
Virtually every businessperson we meet has an interest in sport, whether it is football, rugby, F1, cycling or just keeping fit. So it was an easy decision to introduce a regular sports section into the magazine.
We just needed someone with a passion for sport to edit and create the new section. So we are delighted to welcome our new Head of Sport, Laurence Elphick, formerly MD of Juice 107.2.
In Laurence’s first issue we celebrate the success of Lewis Hamilton, chat with Sussex Cricket CEO Rob Andrew, meet ex-Albion footballer Gary Stevens, preview Active Sussex’s Youth Parallel Games and give tips on how to buy a boat.
We also asked five leading businesspeople about their love of sport: Sussex Chamber chairman David Sheppard, Posturite MD Ian Fletcher Price, DMH Stallard Managing Partner Richard Pollins, Rix & Kay Chairman Bruce Hayter, and The Grand Hotel Brighton’s General Manager Andrew Mosley.
In addition to the new sports section we have a Santander-sponsored round table debate on talent acquisition and retention, as well as our usual array of informed and entertaining business-related content.
Focus on International Trade
Calling all exporters. Our June issue of Platinum Business Magazine is a celebration of our region’s exporters and the companies that attract inward investment.
Platinum is running a major feature on International Trade in our June issue. With comment from the DiT, central Government, Gatwick Diamond Initiative, Gatwick Airport and leading businesses that trade internationally, we will be looking at the positives of exporting and importing and what this can do to your bottom line.
There is a fair amount of fear and trepidation about trading internationally, but with the help of the DiT, we will break down the process to show how simple such relationships can be.
The feature will celebrate our trading relationships with the world and demonstrate the huge advantages of international trade. Brexit is just around the corner and it is imperative that businesses in the UK take advantage of new opportunities that trading worldwide can offer.
