New Members This Week – Borde Hill Garden and Parkland

A rich botanical heritage

Borde Hill Garden and Parkland has a rich botanical heritage, and we are planning for the future while safeguarding our nationally important collection of rare plants and trees. We care passionately about our natural environment and we have a new project – Reinventing Borde Hill – which will enable us to unlock 110 acres of heritage parkland to new and diverse audiences, while enhancing the biodiversity that lies within the South Park and beyond.

Thanks to a generous grant of £2.25 million from The National Lottery Heritage Fund, Borde Hill Garden Charity is embarking on its most ambitious project yet. ‘Reinventing Borde Hill’ will improve access, connect local communities with the restorative power of nature, and inspire future generations through outdoor learning.

At its heart, ‘Reinventing Borde Hill’ is a community-led initiative. We’ve already consulted with over 1,000 local schools, charities, community groups and individuals to shape our plans—and this is just the beginning. We’re committed to working with our local community every step of the way to bring this vision to life.

Jay Goddard, MD of Borde Hill Garden

Our aim is to ‘reinvent’ Borde Hill’s South Park as a thriving destination for the 21st Century while celebrating our rich and important botanical history and delivering tangible benefits to the local area.

Through new learning and wellbeing activities, and purpose-built facilities that support educational and community programmes, this project will allow diverse local schools and communities to engage with the natural world.

We’re now looking to build meaningful partnerships with local businesses and organisations who share our values of learning, community and sustainability. Whether through corporate volunteering, event sponsorship, skills-sharing or funding support, there are many ways to get involved and play a part in shaping this generation-defining new chapter.
If your business is passionate about supporting nature, heritage, and community, we’d love to hear from you. To explore partnership opportunities, visit our website or contact: maria.kirk@bordehill.co.uk

With your support, we can create lasting impact for our landscape, our local economy, and our community.
