New Defibrillator for Sheddingdean Business Park
Today (17th November 2016) a new defibrillator came into service at local business Steve Willis Training’s Burgess Hill Training Centre on the Sheddingdean Industrial Estate. It’s prominently sited in the main car park and is available to anyone in the local area while the centre is open (Monday to Friday 8am – 5.30pm).
The defibrillator was provided by Steve Willis Training in partnership with Burgess Hill Lions, and is the 33rd such unit funded by the Lions since 2006. The Lions also support the Community First Responders who provide related training, although in an emergency anyone would be able to use it.
Lions Tony Parris and 2017 President John Carter came along to see the defibrillator go into service, along with Paul Shearing (Chairman) and Peter Liddell from the Burgess Hill Business Parks Association.
Peter Liddell, BHBPA Coordinator, commented, “ I can speak from personal experience about the importance of having an accessible defibrillator – you never know where a heart attack is going to happen!”
