WHAT WE DO:

Cooking skills, for healthy relationships with food.
We help young people find their way with food, so they are prepared for life.

Food foundations. Prept. 
Rolling up your sleeves. Pouring ingredients. Kneading dough. Sploshing sauce. Enjoying cooking. All Prept sessions help set young people up with positive attitudes around food and cooking, so they can take this learning home and share them with family and friends.

Primary school cooking experiences:
Prept supports primary schools and clubs in Sussex and beyond with immersive cooking experiences.

Secondary school immersive education:
Prept supercharges the secondary school curriculum by inspiring students to cook. This provides the foundations for fruitful futures in food and hospitality.

Farm to Fork:
Learning where food really comes from makes sharing a meal all the more rewarding. Prept delivers its ‘Farm to Fork’ programme will a full-day trip to Plumpton College in Sussex.

Practice skills with our chefs in the professional Training Kitchen and take a tour of the working farm with our farmers.

Cooking out of term time. 

What are these sessions?
These sessions support local community clubs and the Department for Education’s Holiday Activities and Food (HAF), a funded programme that provides free meals and activities for eligible children and young people during school holidays.

Where do they happen?
Prept runs these sessions directly at the facilities of community clubs and certified HAF providers. We also deliver these out-of-term-time sessions from our Training Kitchen at Plumpton College, Sussex.
