Keymer Double Glazing event

On Wednesday this week we met for a BHBPA Members event at a new venue, the home of long standing member KDG.  The company was set up almost thirty years ago by Martin Wright, an ex pupil of Oakmeeds School, who two years ago stepped down into retirement to allow others to continue his fine work.

Kieran Collins, another ex Oakmedian, is now one of four guys who now run the company, and they have done a fine job of moving with the times to create an much more streamlined business better suited to survive in a very competitive market.

The BHBPA members were invited to have a look around the new marketing suite they have designed and created, whilst doing some networking and partaking of the fabulous spread of refreshments they had provided.

Around 25 members came along, including of course the new Chair, listened to a couple of brief presentations, including one concerning loans for business from John O’Connor, from Primary Business Finance, and then got on with the business of networking.

Kieran, the Sales Director, explained briefly the company’s journey over the last decade and was quite rightly proud of the progress made. It is another case of a company looking outwards and understanding the changes going on around and adjusting to them accordingly. Until quite recently most of the windows, frames and structures sold were actually made on the premises, but that is now not the case. The company is still a very large presence in Burgess Hill and Mid Sussex, and the future looks bright as they adapt to a rapidly changing world.

It was a great opportunity for me to chat with members, some of whom were new to the BHBPA and others new to events. We thank Kieran and the management of Keymer Double Glazing for their splendid efforts on Wednesday and wish them continuing success with their business.
