A HELPING HAND THIS CHRISTMAS
Could your company give a helping hand to families and individuals in need this Festive Season?
Many local people on low incomes are struggling with the rising cost of living and Christmas can be a particularly difficult time with extra expense but no extra money. A partnership of local organisations is collecting donations of food from a list of items needed to make up Christmas Food Hampers.
The Food Hampers will be delivered to 200 families and individuals in the Burgess Hill area in time for Christmas. Recipients must be nominated by an agency which has knowledge of their circumstances, such as Social Services, Schools, Health Visitors, Citizens Advice Bureau.
Could your company fill some boxes with items from the list you can find below this article? We will provide you with the boxes.
The groups organising the initiative include Burgess Hill District Lions Club, The King’s Church Mid-Sussex, Burgess Hill Food Bank, Burgess Hill Town Council, Burgess Hill Youth, Tesco, and Burgess Hill & District Rotary Club.
If you have any questions about the Hamper Scheme please contact Jennifer O’Grady at Burgess Hill Town Council on 01444 238207 (9am-3pm) or email jennifer@burgesshill.gov.uk
Thank you very much.
