GDPR Implications

I seem to have spent a lot of time talking about GDPR this week, and I know that some of you have spent even more time on it. It’s coincidental that Mark Zuckerberg has been giving evidence to Congress about Facebook data leaks, and how to avoid them in future, as we prepare for this change in the law designed to make the law much tighter here and in Europe when it comes to handling data from outside sources.

As Yann Davies at Abcom explained to me this week, it will impact upon everyone who handles data, and it has wider implications which as yet most of us have not even considered.

In response to a request, please email me if you would attend a question and answer session specifically on GDPR if it was scheduled locally in the next month?  If there is sufficient interest then it may be possible to set up a session.

If you have issues with GDPR which are concerning you, these are the names of people who come highly recommended by BHBPA members. Do contact them if you feel the need.
