| The BHBPA June networking event provided a fascinating tour of the North Garden Brewery at The Brickworks Taproom. Paul Swaffield was on hand to explain the recent investments expanding the brewery operations and the success of the Taproom. Guests were also treated to barista coffees, a new feature of this gem of a venue tucked just behind Consort Way and on Victoria Road (look out for the giant chair at Alexander Rose). |
![]() Brandon Harris of EOS Worldwide gave a talk which resonated with everyone in the room |
| We then proceeded into the Taproom, where we were given an introduction to the Entrepreneurial Operating System by Brandon Harris, a leading proponent of this business operating system. EOS is a simple, practical and proven execution model based around strengthening 6 key components of yours and any business. Vision People Data Issues Process Traction They all work in harmony and a professional implementation strengthens them all at the same time. For BHBPA’s Wednesday event we focussed on Vision. If you can answer these questions as a Leadership Team then you are halfway there: Core Values: Who are you and what do you want from your culture Core Focus: What are you and what is your Niche (World class) This is your sweet spot. 10 Year Target: Where are you going, long run. Let people get on the right journey with you x10 or x 2? Marketing Strategy: Precise target markets as limited ££, time and energy. then what is the message to them that sets you apart in their eyes? 3 Year Picture: A shared mental picture from the whole LT in 5-15 bullets. Broad brush. ! Year Plan: What has to be done, 3-7 that must be completed. Rocks: Quarterly priorities that deliver the 1 Year plan and deal with variations during the year. 3-Company, 3-7 Dept/Function, 1-3 individual. Creates engagement. Issues List: Get it out of your head and onto paper, get it in the right buckets to the right teams to solve so LT doesn’t have to solve it all! This Vision must then be shared and understood by all staff and they must want to be part of it, by way of their actions and behaviours, which can be measured. Sounds easy and it can be, needs commitment and the best way to find out more is to read Traction, send me your address and I will post one!! brandon.harris@eosworldwide.com |
