Last Tuesday evening all BHBPA members and friends were invited to the Woolpack Inn for a small, early Christmas celebration, and to network with like-minded people for an hour or two without the normal pressures of work.
During the three hours that I was there, around 35 people popped in to say hello and give good wishes for the festive season. Some were regulars, those we depend upon to support us on most events, but there were others whom we rarely see and it was brilliant of them all to make the effort. Some simply popped in for half an hour, while others made a bit of an evening of it and had a few beers. The atmosphere was simply delightful, as it should be in a pub, easy chatting and no pressure at all. For me it was a perfect setting to get around and talk to as many people as possible, and I know that others found the same. To all those who came, we at the BHBPA say a very big thank you.
Lance and Dee are loyal supporters of the BHBPA, and they enjoy hosting our events. The sausage rolls and quiches they supplied were delicious, as several of us who had more than plenty would testify! I can not thank them enpough for hosting the event. There were folks there who had never been to the pub before, and they were impressed with the efforts made to give it the Christmas festive feel. I trust everyone got home safely, as I did via Estie’s lift and Southern Rail transportation.
