Calling Engineering Companies

Downlands School in Hassocks are desperately looking for placements for Work Experience in Engineering for their current Year 10 students. Can you help? They need places during the week July 17th – 21st.  If you make products, use machinery, produce items made out of wood or metal, you may well be able to help.

It is very important that students who have an interest in engineering should be encouraged to pursue that interest. As a country we have shut down too much of our manufacturing in the recent past, and now we need to get back to making goods for ourselves again. We must encourage engineers – they are vital for the country’s future.

If you take a student you will not only be helping that person; you will also be doing your bit to revive manufacturing in Britain. And it may be that the person to whom you give a place will go on to be an employee of yours or an entrepreneur of the future.

For more information please contact Nicola Cuttress at Downlands School  at ncutress@downlands.org  or on 01273 845892.  Or of course you can contact peter.liddell@bhbpa.co.uk
