1st XI – were denied by the rain as top played bottom on Saturday. Goring set Hill 199 for victory and Hill had started well at 35 for no loss when the rains came. Report.
In the second group game of the Henfield T20 Cup Hill were beaten by Lindfield at SJP. Batting first Lindfield scored 110 all out and Hill fell 18 runs short at 92-9. Scorecard.
2nd XI – moved 14 points clear at the top of the table with a six wicket win away at Glynde. Hill bowled first and 5-40 from Peter Billinghay helped keep Glynde to just 121 all out. Aaron Barnes struck 37 not out and Shaun Kevern 30 as Hill won comfortably. Report.
3rd XI – had a weekend to forget as they lost by seven wickets at Copthorne 1st XI. Hill only managed 62 in their first innings. Dan Rapson took two early wickets but Copthorne recovered to win comfortably. Scorecard.
4th XI – were robbed of probably victory by the weather on Saturday. Chasing 199, Hill were 100-1 when the clouds opened up and no further play was possible. Earlier Lewis Mamoany had taken 3-55. Scorecard.
Boys Under 16 – took the points as Ditchling were unable to raise a side.
Boys Under 14b – lost by 90 runs to Steyning. Batting first Steyning scored 170-5 and in response 14 runs from Toby Fisher and Adam Hughes scored in 11 in Hill’s 80 all out. Scorecard.
Boys Under 12 – Fell just short of three consecutive wins. Hill set 93-3 thanks to 28 not out from Jack Smart. Southwick won by six wickets with nine balls remaining. Report
Girls Under 11 – were convincing winners over Cuckfield. Batting first Hill scored a huge net 312 with Megan Leaney top scoring with 16. In reply Cuckfield lost 10 wickets and struggled to score runs ending on net 204. Scorecard.
Boys Under 11 – game against Portslade was sadly lost to the weather.
Boys Under 10 – beat Hurstpierpoint by 51 runs. Hurstpierpoint batted first and were restricted to just 70-7 making a net total of 235 with Callum Nye taking two wickets. In reply the Hill batsman dominated scoring 106-4 and a net 286. Report.

Sussex CCC Roadshow – Last year the Sussex CCC Roadshow was so successful, with over 30 children attending, that the club are running it again this season. It will take place on Monday 25th July in St John’s Park from 10am to 3pm. A fantastic day of fun filled cricket games and adventure for girls and boys ages 7 – 12. SCCC and BHCC bring fun filled activities to SJP, led by fully qualified Sussex Cricket coaches and brand new inflatable equipment, to ensure the event will be even better than last year’s holiday camp.
