First XI – lost by five wickets at Preston Nomads. Kevin Ramsay struck 97 runs in Hill’s first innings total of 189-7. Hill looked to be set to secure a first win of the season as Nomads slipped to 10-3 early but they recovered to seal a comfortable win by five wickets with over three overs spare. Report.
Second XI – lost to Glynde by 70 runs. Wickets were shared as Glynde put the Hill bowlers to the sword, scoring a formidable 272-4. The Pummel brothers starred for Hill with the bat, Curly hitting 44 and Grady 38 but they were lacking support as Hill ended 202-9. Report.
Third XI – lost to a strong Coleman’s Hatch 1st XI on Saturday. A tough game for a very young Third XI team saw them 115 all out chasing 302. Dan Austin top scored with 20 and Joe Hartley hit 17. scorecard.
Fourth XI – took a full 30 points at the weekend as Lingfield 5th XI conceded.
Sunday Select – took part in the Sussex Cricket Foundation 6-a-side at the weekend. Results didn’t go our way but a great day was had by all. A full report can be found on our site.
