BH Cricket Club pre-season update

We are very excited to announce for the 2021 season all junior coaches will have access to the Coach Assist platform powered by Coach Assist UK. Now your club coach will have the resources on hand to provide fun and engaging sessions that will provide all players with an opportunity to grow and develop their cricket skills and understanding of the game.

In addition, all junior members in the club will get access to their very own online academy profile which gives them access to 100’s of videos, interviews with professional players, downloadable resources, as well as regular live online coaching sessions with professional players and industry experts.

There is also an online academy Facebook mentors group that parents or players can join. It is where Coach Assist will be sharing thoughts, posting results, answering questions and having some other interactive challenges and content.

This is a tremendous opportunity for not just our junior players, but also for our club as a whole. Please use this as extensively as you can. We are extremely grateful for our wonderful volunteers and this is an investment in them as supporters of the great work they are doing!
There will be more information throughout the coming weeks to give you a greater snapshot of what this partnership will provide for everyone at Burgess Hill CC.

We have now received clearance from the ECB that training and coaching can commence subject to adhering to the guidelines laid down, much the same as last season. All adult and junior training has now been arranged by coaches, captains and youth managers starting in the SJP from Monday 29th March.

U13 and U15 girls starts this Monday (tomorrow) from 5.00pm with our Women’s training following at 6.00 pm. U14 and U15 boys training starts this coming Tuesday evening from 5.30 pm, the U12 and U13 boys training is on Thursday evenings with the U11 Boys starting on Friday 9th April from 6.00 pm.
Softball training for all boys U10 and younger also commences on Friday April 9th at 4.30 pm whilst the U11 girls start on Friday April 2nd again from 4.30 pm.
General Adult training will as usual take place on Wednesday evenings from 5.30 pm.

If you have not received notification of your age group training times please email us and we will be able to help you. New girls and boys, sisters, brothers and friends are always welcome to come along and join in the fun.

Members can now book the nets in the SJP online all day, every day. Great news but we have to be very sensible and ensure it is done in a compliant way. You can book the 2 nets on the Skedda system as below but the rules have to be followed or we will be forced to close.

Full rules here :

If people book too many and prevent others from using we retain the right to cancel to ensure it is fair so please just be sensible!
If the nets rules are not followed, we will have to stop the bookings
Remember those using the nets reflect on the club, you let us down, you let everyone down.

Look out for our next newsletter in a couple of weeks time as there is so much more news to share with members as we strive to take the club forward.

Thank you for your continuing support of our club.
