BES Coming and Space to let too

After some months of disuse and more months of renovation and change, the property which was owned by Coinco, or CCI, has finally been occupied again. Or at least, one of the buildings has been taken. The other is going to be let soon.

The company moving in are called Blue Eyed Sun, and they are specialists in making high end greetings cards. The man behind the success of this business is Jeremy Corner, and although I haven’t met him yet I’m hoping that he will be keen to join the BHBPA. It seems to be a family run business which has had a lot of success locally. They have a base in Sussex House Business Park off the Old Shoreham Road in Hove at the moment. This is what Jeremy says about the move to Burgess Hill on his blog …

“At Blue Eyed Sun, we’ve marked the change with a move into newly acquired premises which makes it extra special. After nearly ten years of toiling away in our old industrial units in Brighton we have a lovely new factory up the road in Burgess Hill. It’s a great space that we’ve refurbished and I’m sure our team will be very happy there. They’ve been involved in planning the design and look of the interiors. There’s more light and better facilities for them going forward. The units also give us more room to grow, which is exciting. We ran out of space two years ago and although it’s kept us efficient I do think it’s held us back a little.”

Stiles Harold Williams are the agents responsible for dealing with the property. Blue Eyed Sun sell their cards all over the world, and have had a stand at a trade show in Olympia a few days ago and will be at the NEC in Birmingham in February.

What is very interesting about the whole thing is that Blue Eyed Sun are not taking both the buildings on the site. One of them, the smaller one, will be for lease by Stiles Harold Williams, comprising about 4000 sq ft. And there is a smaller office space to let in the main building as well So if you are looking for a new space, as I know some companies are, then look out for this one, or even better give SHW a call before it is advertised more widely.
