The AGM of the BHBPA was held this week at the King’s Centre in Victoria Road. Whilst there was no need for extra seating in the room it was a reasonable turnout of members to hear details of the past year’s affairs of the Association.
Chairman Paul Shearing of Autowise welcomed everyone to the meeting before handing over to the Coordinator for his annual report . He told the meeting that the membership had continued to grow, that meetings were very well attended and that the newsletter had continued high readership.
In the absence of the Accountant, the Chairman took the throng through the finances and outlined profits and losses. It was stressed that the BHBPA is now almost entirely self-financing and continues to be a non-profit organisation.
The election of officers took little time, as there were no Steering Group members who wished to stand down. One Director, Nicky Loutit, offered her resignation with great reluctance due to work commitments and the Chairman himself explained that he had done his two years in the role and is hoping that someone else might step up to the Chair. There will be more on these issues to come.
Amid general consensus that the current Chair should do another year, he drew the meeting to a close at 5.45 by thanking all those who turned up. See the minutes here
