Email received this week from MSDC re the same…
As you will know Mid Sussex has been placed in middle tier “Tier 2” – the High Category – from 2nd December 2020 when we come out of the national lockdown. We will continue to take applications for the LRSG national grant after the 1 December 2020, but further business grants will be available to affected businesses from 2nd December 2020. Businesses that are closed – such as bars – from the 2 December 2020 will be able to apply for a new Tier 2 LRSG grant at https://midsussex.grantapproval.co.uk/.
Please note that ‘the 5 days of Christmas’ will not affect entitlement to business grants paid during the Tier 2 lockdown. The BEIS have confirmed that we can pay affected businesses for these 5 days.
There is also a small Discretionary Grant Scheme to these new Tier 2 grants from 2nd December 2020. Mid Sussex DC are hoping to announce further details about the discretionary scheme later this week.
Can I please remind all businesses and organisations to apply to the COVID19 Additional Restrictions Discretionary Grant Scheme we recently approved – please see https://www.midsussex.gov.uk/revsandbens/business-rates/discretionary-business-grants/ – the discretionary grant scheme applies to all businesses affected and not just those closed. Please note that applications for this funding window close at midnight on Friday, 13th December 2020.
You would need to apply for the business grants funded by the Government at https://midsussex.grantapproval.co.uk/
Please do let me know if you need any additional information or clarification. I am more than happy to come to webinars to update members.
Thank you again for all your help and support and always happy to discuss further.
