News: FAQs re BH’s Local Full Fibre Network

Posted on 5th November 2020

We have heard from Chris Founds, Digital & Place Programme Manager at MSDC regarding some FAQs about the BH Local Full Fibre Network.

**

Good morning Martyn

Just a quick intro – I am the Programme Manager for the Local Full Fibre Network installation across Mid Sussex, working alongside Marius Kynaston at the Authority.

I am glad that we were able to resolve the dirty road issue at Sheddingdean and have addressed the cleanliness issue with our Contractor delivery partner going forward.

Marius and myself thought it may be helpful to provide you with a copy of the FAQ’s we have produced for the project – to help your BHBPA membership with some responses to questions that may be in abeyance. This is also available on the BH Growth Programme website.

We are very interested in starting to build a forward pipeline of interested organisations and businesses who may wish to deliver services over, or to connect to the network, once operational.

At present we expect that active services, for those closest to the network, could be available as soon as Spring 2021, bringing Gigabit capable capacity.

I hope this helps in the interim and happy to discuss further as necessary.

Testimonials

"I am delighted to have a long-standing relationship with the BHBPA. Since its foundation the Association has gone from strength to strength and there is no doubt that it has brought huge benefits to its members and the business community as a whole through the partnerships it has formed with the local authorities, Sussex Police and local organisations. It is paramount that Burgess Hill businesses have an effective collective voice."

The Hon Nicholas Soames MP

"The BHBPA is an energetic and vocal organisation that connects and empowers and informs the local business community acting as an effective conduit to local authority and other organisations. We are proud to be part of that community and the association."

Nick Broom, Managing Director
(PVL UK Ltd)

"This association was started with a lot of effort from a few local businessmen and has proved to be a very powerful and useful tool for our business. The BHBPA has influence at the top level; when action is needed, the BHBPA gets it done. We are kept in touch with all that is happening on our doorstep and will often act because of what is published in the weekly emails / newsletters."

Steve Mooney
(Steven Mooney Machinery)

"“I can’t speak highly enough of the BHBPA. As a small local business we feel very much part of a community and thoroughly enjoy the annual exhibition and meetings throughout the year. Over the years we have built fantastic working relationships with many BHBPA members and every meeting and event offers us opportunities to work with more. This is networking at its best! ” "
