News: Road works update

Posted on 6th February 2020

Last Thursday when I looked at Network Rail’s update of the same day, it seemed the contra flow by Wivelsfield Station would be removed the next day. Suffice to say, the next day their 31/1 update extended the contra flow through to Friday 7/2. So the lesson to learn is don’t have complete faith in my updates as they’re based on the best information available to me at the time I write it, and clearly subject to change.

London Road looks particularly bad next week, with the planned red dots on One.Network (as at Thursday 6thFebruary at 18:00) for next week as follows:

  • Ongoing – Valebridge Road – Virgin Media – 2 way signals through to 24/2 (not on image)
  • New – London Road / Royal George Road junction – WSCC – multi way signals on 10/2 only
  • New – London Road / Victoria Way (o/s Brewers Arms) – Virgin Media – multi way signals 10/2 to 6/3
  • New – Station Road – WSCC – multi way signals 13/2 to 14/2
