Bake Off for a very special cause

I do hope you will be able to join us on Wednesday for the Bake-Off event at TKC; it will be a very special and highly enjoyable occasion to support a charity close to many of our hearts.

This is not about how good you are at cake making, and I urge everyone to come along and join in the fun at what promises to be a fantastic networking opportunity.

We will be entertained by ‘The Cake Fairy’ (AKA Mia Clift) who has more than a few tales to tell about the world of cake making, sharing a few handy tips and doubtless the odd confession to boot.  Our two judges will be caterer extraordinaire Tatjana Keenan (whom we all know and love as Tats) and senior cake decorator Shakira Tettersell from Lizzie’s Food Factory.

Whatever your level of baking skills, all entries are welcome and, remember, you don’t have to bake a cake; cookies, brownies and biscuits are welcome as much as fairy cakes or traybakes. For the more adventurous, why not have a go at creating a show-stopper to reflect your business’s theme.

Looking forward to seeing you all on Wednesday, and remember that it’s all in aid of our friends at St Peter and St James’ Hospice and all the wonderful work they do.

Susan Fleet
BHBPA Chairman

"As the local hospice for the area, it’s great that we receive so much support from the BHBPA. Last year the members raised an amazing £2150 through activities such as Bake Off and the BHBiz Awards. Each well planned members meeting enables good networking opportunities and speakers that are relevant to the present climate and local issues. We are proud to be members of BHBPA."

"This association was started with a lot of effort from a few local businessmen and has proved to be a very powerful and useful tool for our business. The BHBPA has influence at the top level; when action is needed, the BHBPA gets it done. We are kept in touch with all that is happening on our doorstep and will often act because of what is published in the weekly emails / newsletters."

"“I have belonged to this group since I started my own business, Lea Graham Associates, in 1986. The association has been through several incarnations since then, but its most recent one, BHBPA, is by far the best.

It’s much more than just a networking group, although it is supremely good at that too. BHBPA is inclusive and friendly and acts like a mutual-support society. The events are stimulating, worthwhile and often great fun and I believe most members share this opinion.”"

Susan Fleet, Managing Director
(Lea Graham Associates)

"The BHBPA is the most effective and dynamic business organisation I have ever worked with in over 30 years in Local Government. It has a very active and large membership whose points of view are taken seriously by all government structures. Peter Liddell does an excellent job in providing unique and enjoyable networking opportunities where members interact and discuss points of mutual interest. It provides a forum for businesses to discuss common issues, to share experiences and to play a powerful and meaningful role in the Burgess Hill community. The BHBPA provides important and credible support for all its members and ensures that their best interests are represented where necessary. "

(Burgess Hill Town Council)
