A HELPING HAND THIS CHRISTMAS
Could your company give a helping hand to families and individuals in need this Festive Season?
Many local people on low incomes are struggling with the rising cost of living and Christmas can be a particularly difficult time with extra expense but no extra money. A partnership of local organisations is collecting donations of food from a list of items needed to make up Christmas Food Hampers.
The Food Hampers will be delivered to approximately 300 families and individuals in the Burgess Hill area in time for Christmas. Recipients must be nominated by an agency which has knowledge of their circumstances, such as Social Services, Schools, Health Visitors, Citizens Advice Bureau.
Could your company collect items from the attached list? Or help with the packing of boxes? Details are on the flyers attached.
The groups organising the initiative include Burgess Hill District Lions Club, The King’s Church MidSussex, Burgess Hill Food Bank, Burgess Hill Town Council, and Burgess Hill Youth.
If you are able to support this project please contact Jennifer at Burgess Hill Town Council by email to email@example.com or telephone 01444 238207 (9-3 daily).
Thank you very much.
"“We have been members of BHBPA from its inception, and seen the organisation steadily grow and expand into the dynamic entity it is today, bringing positive benefits to all its members.""
"As MP for Mid Sussex I believe passionately in the importance of a vibrant local business community in order to create and sustain fantastic opportunities that enable people to meet their responsibilities, prosper and fulfil their potential. I am committed to collaborating with BHBPA and others to be an effective collective voice for Burgess Hill."
"I am delighted to have a long-standing relationship with the BHBPA. Since its foundation the Association has gone from strength to strength and there is no doubt that it has brought huge benefits to its members and the business community as a whole through the partnerships it has formed with the local authorities, Sussex Police and local organisations. It is paramount that Burgess Hill businesses have an effective collective voice."
"As the local hospice for the area, it’s great that we receive so much support from the BHBPA. Last year the members raised an amazing £2150 through activities such as Bake Off and the BHBiz Awards. Each well planned members meeting enables good networking opportunities and speakers that are relevant to the present climate and local issues. We are proud to be members of BHBPA."
