News: FootGolf at Hospice

Posted on 10th July 2019

Dear Friends of the Hospice,

In May we held our Footgolf tournament, which was really successful, and not only raised almost £1,000, but was enjoyed by all who participated. All the teams who took part wanted, in fact demanded, that we put another one on the Autumn!

Because of this, we are holding another Footgolf Tournament on Thursday 5 September, again at Mid Sussex Golf Club, starting at 5.00pm, and we wanted to let you know in case your company or organisation would be interested in participating by putting up a team of four people, or indeed, more than one team. If you are interested, a booking form is here, which we would like back by 12 August at the latest, together with the entry fee, which includes the game and a meal afterwards. Places are limited, so please confirm your booking as soon as you can.

Even if you can’t get up a team to play, we are looking for sponsorship again, which as before is £25 a hole, as well as “Silent Auction” and raffle prizes for the event.

Once again, many thanks for your interest in the Hospice. We have to raise almost £8,000 per day to continue to provide our amazing professional caring and support services to terminally ill patients and their families throughout the Mid Sussex area, so you can appreciate we need all the backing and sponsorship we can get, especially from the local corporate business sector.  We hope you will be able to participate in this event, either with a team on the Footgolf course, or as financial supporters or sponsors.

Best wishes.

Neil

Testimonials

"The BHBPA is the most effective and dynamic business organisation I have ever worked with in over 30 years in Local Government. It has a very active and large membership whose points of view are taken seriously by all government structures. Peter Liddell does an excellent job in providing unique and enjoyable networking opportunities where members interact and discuss points of mutual interest. It provides a forum for businesses to discuss common issues, to share experiences and to play a powerful and meaningful role in the Burgess Hill community. The BHBPA provides important and credible support for all its members and ensures that their best interests are represented where necessary. "

Steve Cridland, CEO
(Burgess Hill Town Council)

"I am delighted to have a long-standing relationship with the BHBPA. Since its foundation the Association has gone from strength to strength and there is no doubt that it has brought huge benefits to its members and the business community as a whole through the partnerships it has formed with the local authorities, Sussex Police and local organisations. It is paramount that Burgess Hill businesses have an effective collective voice."

The Hon Nicholas Soames MP

"This association was started with a lot of effort from a few local businessmen and has proved to be a very powerful and useful tool for our business. The BHBPA has influence at the top level; when action is needed, the BHBPA gets it done. We are kept in touch with all that is happening on our doorstep and will often act because of what is published in the weekly emails / newsletters."

"“I can’t speak highly enough of the BHBPA. As a small local business we feel very much part of a community and thoroughly enjoy the annual exhibition and meetings throughout the year. Over the years we have built fantastic working relationships with many BHBPA members and every meeting and event offers us opportunities to work with more. This is networking at its best! ” "
