Eco-Friendly Manufacturers Bake for Charity with Colourful Incentive
MD Angela Gill, HR Manager Sara Gibb and Sales Administrator Morwenna Bunt from Burgess Hill based Bio-Productions have swelled the ranks of the Colour Obstacle Rush event in Brighton, in support of their designated charity St Peter & St James Hospice.
The Colour Obstacle Rush is an exhilarating event which takes place at Brighton Racecourse on 22 June 2019. It combines the thrill of an obstacle course over 5km with the atmosphere of a music festival and the fun of coloured powdered runs thrown in. Contestants will negotiate 20 obstacles with 8 colour stations and 20 music zones. They can recover from the mania of racing in a special chill out area called ‘colour from the skys’.
Entrants pay an entrance fee and then guarantee to raise £200 each for their chosen category. This charitable trio have set up a justgiving page for anyone that would like to support them: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/sara-gibb2
The philanthropist fun started yesterday when HR Manager, Sara staged her own mini bake off. She brought in a selection of baked goodies to sell to staff at Bio-Productions HQ. Amongst the sweet treats were Victoria sandwich sponge, scones, banana loaf and double chocolate cookies. Sara made a sterling start towards her pledge of £200 by raising £100.
Bio-Productions formulates, tests and makes a range of award-winning, environmentally-friendly, industrial cleaning products which are exported around the world. In December 2014 a management buyout by three employees which has led to both UK and international success.
About the initiative, Angela said, “As a company we love to support local good causes, especially when we can improve our fitness at the same time. All the team at Bio are supporting us and we look forward to presenting a cheque to the Hospice in a few weeks time”.

"“I have belonged to this group since I started my own business, Lea Graham Associates, in 1986. The association has been through several incarnations since then, but its most recent one, BHBPA, is by far the best.
It’s much more than just a networking group, although it is supremely good at that too. BHBPA is inclusive and friendly and acts like a mutual-support society. The events are stimulating, worthwhile and often great fun and I believe most members share this opinion.”"
"If Carlsberg did networking they would do it the BHBPA way. Each event is packed with great ideas, thought provoking presentations and fun. As a small business we feel supported and part of the community. We have built friendships and business relationships and there is always plenty of advice on hand to benefit us all so don’t hesitate to join whatever the nature of your business. "
"The BHBPA is a fantastic hub for our business community to get together and catch up, discuss important local issues and connect new and interesting enterprises."
"“We have been members of BHBPA from its inception, and seen the organisation steadily grow and expand into the dynamic entity it is today, bringing positive benefits to all its members.""
