News: BHBiz Helps Hospice

Posted on 22nd May 2019

As well as having a terrific evening of fun at BHBiz two weeks ago, the audience managed to raise more than £1500 for St Peter & St James Hospice through various methods.

Wendy and Neil came to the event with guests of the hospice and set about selling raffle tickets in the early part of the evening. They had just about sold out by the time it came to draw out the numbers of the 15 winning tickets.  The prizes had been donated by generous local companies.

Later in the evening we sold off some of the beautiful flowers provided by Rosanne Florists, and we also held an auction for a signed Brighton football shirt from 2018.  That eventually went for over £200 and the total raised on the evening came to £1538.00.  Wendy was delighted. The BHBPA is very pleased to be able to support this worthy cause.

"As the local hospice for the area, it’s great that we receive so much support from the BHBPA. Last year the members raised an amazing £2150 through activities such as Bake Off and the BHBiz Awards. Each well planned members meeting enables good networking opportunities and speakers that are relevant to the present climate and local issues. We are proud to be members of BHBPA."
