News: HSC Becomes Galloways

Posted on 2nd April 2019

We run our firm like a business, just like our clients do, yes we are accountants but we want to be successful, have great careers, enjoy our work and build a great business, and like other businesses there comes a time where it feels right to freshen things up.

We recently received investment from Cow Corner, a local investment firm, to help us with the next chapter of our firms long history and we feel now is good time for a refresh. As part of that refresh we are changing our name from Hilton Sharp & Clarke to Galloways. There’s no great logic behind Galloways, we just liked it.

Whilst we are having some fun building a new website and choosing colours for our new logo we recognise that if we are to continue to be a successful business, our clients need to continue being our number one priority and therefore we are restricting the number of changes to ensure there is limited impact on you.

The changes we are in the process of making in the next few weeks are:

• Our trading name will be changing from Hilton Sharp & Clarke to Galloways;
• The legal entity with which you engage will be changing its name from either Hilton Sharp & Clarke Limited to Galloways Accounting Limited or Hilton Sharp & Clarke (Audit) Limited to Galloways Accounting (Audit) Limited. All existing engagements will remain unaffected. All new engagements will be with the new entity name. Our company numbers and therefore the legal entity will remain unchanged;
• Our website www.hsc.uk.net will be replaced by a new website www.wearegalloways.com with you simply being redirected to the new website if you continue using our old web address; and
• Our email addresses will be changing but you can still use our old ones well into 2020 with you simply receiving a reply from our new email address which will have the following format: joe.bloggs@wearegalloways.com.

All other details such as your main point of contact, addresses, bank details etc. will remain unchanged.

We’ve got some exciting things planned over the next few weeks and years to come and so if you are interested to find out more give us a call, send us an email, visit the website or simply keep an eye out for us in and around Sussex.

Yours sincerely

Hilton Sharp & Clarke

"The BHBPA is the most effective and dynamic business organisation I have ever worked with in over 30 years in Local Government. It has a very active and large membership whose points of view are taken seriously by all government structures. Peter Liddell does an excellent job in providing unique and enjoyable networking opportunities where members interact and discuss points of mutual interest. It provides a forum for businesses to discuss common issues, to share experiences and to play a powerful and meaningful role in the Burgess Hill community. The BHBPA provides important and credible support for all its members and ensures that their best interests are represented where necessary. "
