I just want to thank everyone who supported the hospice, at last week’s BHBPA Pub Quiz at the Woolpack, I understand from my colleague Fiona that it was a very good, fun evening, and she was especially pleased to be able to join the team from HIlton Sharp and Clarke and come 5th!
I am pleased to let you know that £538.60 was raised from the raffle which is a terrific amount and I thought you mike like to know about some of our services and how your donation might be spent.
Over 80% of our patients are supported in their own home by our Clinical Nurse Specialists £95 will pay for one home visit.
Some of our patients benefit from physiotherapy or complementary therapies at a cost of around £37 per session.
We offer counselling to patients and their loved ones £44 will pay for a counselling session.
The average length of stay for an in-patient is around 13 days. Each day costs around £390.
I know you will understand what a significant difference this donation makes to us, and I would like to thank you all once again for supporting the hospice.
Perhaps you and some others from the association would like to come over to the hospice for a cheque presentation soon.

"The BHBPA is a fantastic hub for our business community to get together and catch up, discuss important local issues and connect new and interesting enterprises."
"Regular, well organised events, excellent updates and information by email along with a warm welcome from the Chair and Coordinator are just some of the positives at BHBPA."
"The BHBPA is the most effective and dynamic business organisation I have ever worked with in over 30 years in Local Government. It has a very active and large membership whose points of view are taken seriously by all government structures. Peter Liddell does an excellent job in providing unique and enjoyable networking opportunities where members interact and discuss points of mutual interest. It provides a forum for businesses to discuss common issues, to share experiences and to play a powerful and meaningful role in the Burgess Hill community. The BHBPA provides important and credible support for all its members and ensures that their best interests are represented where necessary. "
"As the local hospice for the area, it’s great that we receive so much support from the BHBPA. Last year the members raised an amazing £2150 through activities such as Bake Off and the BHBiz Awards. Each well planned members meeting enables good networking opportunities and speakers that are relevant to the present climate and local issues. We are proud to be members of BHBPA."
