News: Footgolf for SPSJ Hospice

Posted on 20th March 2019

Dear Friends,

Last year the Hospice held its annual Footgolf tournament, which was really successful, and not only raised almost £1,000, but was enjoyed by all who participated.

Because of the success of these events, we are holding another Footgolf Tournament on Thursday 16 May, again at Mid Sussex Golf Club, starting at 5.00pm, and we wanted to let you know in case your company or organisation would be interested in participating by putting up a team of four people, or indeed, more than one team. All the details are on the attached flyer, and if you are interested, a booking form is also attached, which we would like back by 30 April at the latest, together with the entry fee, which includes the game and a meal afterwards. A document showing the Rules of the game and a card of the course is also attached. Places are limited, so please confirm your booking as soon as you can.

Even if you can’t get up a team to play, we are looking for sponsorship again, which as before is £25 a hole, as well as “Silent Auction” and raffle prizes for the event.

Once again, many thanks for your interest in the Hospice. We have to raise around £7,200 per day to continue to provide our amazing professional caring and support services to terminally ill patients and their families throughout the Mid Sussex area, so you can appreciate we need all the backing and sponsorship we can get, especially from the local corporate business sector.  We hope you will be able to participate in this event, either with a team on the Footgolf course, or as financial supporters or sponsors.

Best wishes.

Neil Taylor

Testimonials

"As MP for Mid Sussex I believe passionately in the importance of a vibrant local business community in order to create and sustain fantastic opportunities that enable people to meet their responsibilities, prosper and fulfil their potential. I am committed to collaborating with BHBPA and others to be an effective collective voice for Burgess Hill."

Mims Davies MP, Member of Parliament for Mid Sussex

"This association was started with a lot of effort from a few local businessmen and has proved to be a very powerful and useful tool for our business. The BHBPA has influence at the top level; when action is needed, the BHBPA gets it done. We are kept in touch with all that is happening on our doorstep and will often act because of what is published in the weekly emails / newsletters."

Steve Mooney
(Steven Mooney Machinery)

"As the local hospice for the area, it’s great that we receive so much support from the BHBPA. Last year the members raised an amazing £2150 through activities such as Bake Off and the BHBiz Awards. Each well planned members meeting enables good networking opportunities and speakers that are relevant to the present climate and local issues. We are proud to be members of BHBPA."

Wendy Agate, Community Fund Raising Manager
(St Peter & St James Hospice)

"The BHBPA is the most effective and dynamic business organisation I have ever worked with in over 30 years in Local Government. It has a very active and large membership whose points of view are taken seriously by all government structures. Peter Liddell does an excellent job in providing unique and enjoyable networking opportunities where members interact and discuss points of mutual interest. It provides a forum for businesses to discuss common issues, to share experiences and to play a powerful and meaningful role in the Burgess Hill community. The BHBPA provides important and credible support for all its members and ensures that their best interests are represented where necessary. "
