I have just completed a Dementia Champions session which equips me to give an information session on dementia to interested people. I would be happy to deliver these one hour sessions to members of BHBPA and their staff as part of the Councils efforts to make Burgess Hill a Dementia Friendly town. The Help Point is a Dementia Haven where people who find themselves lost or confused can come or be directed to for assistance. Could you please put something like the following out in your newsletter?
The Town Council is keen to make Burgess Hill a Dementia Friendly town and is offering free Dementia Friends information sessions to businesses in the town. One in fourteen people over sixty has dementia though it does not only affect older people. Dementia Friends is a social action movement which aims to increase understanding of dementia and inspire people to take action to support people affected by dementia in their community. Sessions last 1 hour and can be given to up to 10 people at a time. If you are interested in either organising a session for your staff or attending a session please contact Steve Cridland email@example.com

"“We have been members of BHBPA from its inception, and seen the organisation steadily grow and expand into the dynamic entity it is today, bringing positive benefits to all its members.""
"“I have belonged to this group since I started my own business, Lea Graham Associates, in 1986. The association has been through several incarnations since then, but its most recent one, BHBPA, is by far the best.
It’s much more than just a networking group, although it is supremely good at that too. BHBPA is inclusive and friendly and acts like a mutual-support society. The events are stimulating, worthwhile and often great fun and I believe most members share this opinion.”"
"Regular, well organised events, excellent updates and information by email along with a warm welcome from the Chair and Coordinator are just some of the positives at BHBPA."
"This association was started with a lot of effort from a few local businessmen and has proved to be a very powerful and useful tool for our business. The BHBPA has influence at the top level; when action is needed, the BHBPA gets it done. We are kept in touch with all that is happening on our doorstep and will often act because of what is published in the weekly emails / newsletters."
