News: Why you should enter! Angela’s View

Posted on 6th March 2019

ARE YOU STILL CONSIDERING WRITING a submission for a colleague?   I urge you to do so.   There is ALWAYS someone deserving of this accolade, have a think and pop a few words onto the form and let the judges decided.   Its so simple and the  more entries, the more competition, the more fun!   The brilliant workforce in Burgess Hill & Mid Sussex deserve our recognition.

I recall the buzz the awards created here at Bio Productions in 2017.   Staff knew names were in the hat and we had a table for 10 booked.    Three amazing team members were shortlisted to join the three Directors.   With four spaces left at the table we opened up our own in-house voting system.   Which colleague did they believe most deserved a space at the table and why?   This generated great camaraderie and positivity within the whole company.

BHBiz. Awards is the perfect opportunity to show appreciation to our whole team .  The atmosphere during the build-up to Gala night was electric and everyone was rooting for their colleagues to win.    Pride was bursting throughout the building and brought us all together with a positivity that we have since built on in the run up to the 2019 Awards. We cant wait for the 10th.

The cost of a table is worth every penny, the venue is so professional, it’s truly glitzy and you feel like a million dollars attending.  Eating, drinking, dancing , celebrating and championing our staff, what a perfect opportunity for all businesses to celebrate the often unsung heroes of every company.

Testimonials

"The BHBPA is the most effective and dynamic business organisation I have ever worked with in over 30 years in Local Government. It has a very active and large membership whose points of view are taken seriously by all government structures. Peter Liddell does an excellent job in providing unique and enjoyable networking opportunities where members interact and discuss points of mutual interest. It provides a forum for businesses to discuss common issues, to share experiences and to play a powerful and meaningful role in the Burgess Hill community. The BHBPA provides important and credible support for all its members and ensures that their best interests are represented where necessary. "

Steve Cridland, CEO
(Burgess Hill Town Council)

"“I can’t speak highly enough of the BHBPA. As a small local business we feel very much part of a community and thoroughly enjoy the annual exhibition and meetings throughout the year. Over the years we have built fantastic working relationships with many BHBPA members and every meeting and event offers us opportunities to work with more. This is networking at its best! ” "

Judi Arditi, Director
(Travail Employment Group)

"“I have belonged to this group since I started my own business, Lea Graham Associates, in 1986. The association has been through several incarnations since then, but its most recent one, BHBPA, is by far the best.

It’s much more than just a networking group, although it is supremely good at that too. BHBPA is inclusive and friendly and acts like a mutual-support society. The events are stimulating, worthwhile and often great fun and I believe most members share this opinion.”"

Susan Fleet, Managing Director
(Lea Graham Associates)

"If Carlsberg did networking they would do it the BHBPA way. Each event is packed with great ideas, thought provoking presentations and fun. As a small business we feel supported and part of the community. We have built friendships and business relationships and there is always plenty of advice on hand to benefit us all so don’t hesitate to join whatever the nature of your business. "
