News: Burgess Hill Radio

Posted on 6th February 2019

Burgess Hill Radio is your local Community Radio Station. We’ve been around since September 2016 broadcasting 24 hours a day on the Internet and through your smartphones, tablets or computers.

In October 2018 we launched our new service on 103.8FM reaching even more people in their homes, and their cars, and otherwise on the go – Connecting with Your Community everywhere!

We broadcast to central and south Mid Sussex, not just Burgess Hill. In fact, our signal reaches Haywards Heath, Bolney, Cowfold, Cuckfield, Ditchling, Hassocks, Hurstpierpoint and the surrounding area too!

We keep listeners up to date with both national and local news and local events. We showcase local clubs and societies and give local businesses the opportunity to promote their goods and services.

We play music from the 1960’s to the present day and broadcast interviews with community groups and societies, local government officers, councillors, business owners and local people with something to say in the Community!

We’re a Community Radio Station, run by volunteer members of the community, for the benefit the community. There are no shareholders and any profits made are reinvested in the radio station or distributed to local charities and worthy causes.

Testimonials

"“We have been members of BHBPA from its inception, and seen the organisation steadily grow and expand into the dynamic entity it is today, bringing positive benefits to all its members.""

Peter Hook, Manager
(Computer Systems Engineers)

"The BHBPA is the most effective and dynamic business organisation I have ever worked with in over 30 years in Local Government. It has a very active and large membership whose points of view are taken seriously by all government structures. Peter Liddell does an excellent job in providing unique and enjoyable networking opportunities where members interact and discuss points of mutual interest. It provides a forum for businesses to discuss common issues, to share experiences and to play a powerful and meaningful role in the Burgess Hill community. The BHBPA provides important and credible support for all its members and ensures that their best interests are represented where necessary. "

Steve Cridland, CEO
(Burgess Hill Town Council)

"If Carlsberg did networking they would do it the BHBPA way. Each event is packed with great ideas, thought provoking presentations and fun. As a small business we feel supported and part of the community. We have built friendships and business relationships and there is always plenty of advice on hand to benefit us all so don’t hesitate to join whatever the nature of your business. "

Angela Gill, Managing Director
(Bio Productions Ltd)

"This association was started with a lot of effort from a few local businessmen and has proved to be a very powerful and useful tool for our business. The BHBPA has influence at the top level; when action is needed, the BHBPA gets it done. We are kept in touch with all that is happening on our doorstep and will often act because of what is published in the weekly emails / newsletters."
