News: Businesses – Support a Local Charity!

Posted on 12th December 2018

Here at MSVA we always do an office Secret Santa. This year it was suggested that we do  something charitable with our £5.00 that we usually put into Secret Santa rather than buying a present. We decided on a local  charity that supports homeless people as this is very much on our hearts  at this time of year. Along with our colleagues from  Sussex Oakleaf, we have also been supporting the King’s Church Hamper Project  which will provide people  who have fallen on hard times with some Christmas extras.

MSVA can help businesses  who want to support  a local charity  with fundraising or in a practical way – gardening or decorating.  Many of our member groups are small grassroots charities  who would really benefit from  the  help and support of a local business. If you want to start 2019 by doing something  in the community give MSVA a call and we will point you in the right direction.

Testimonials

"As the local hospice for the area, it’s great that we receive so much support from the BHBPA. Last year the members raised an amazing £2150 through activities such as Bake Off and the BHBiz Awards. Each well planned members meeting enables good networking opportunities and speakers that are relevant to the present climate and local issues. We are proud to be members of BHBPA."

Wendy Agate, Community Fund Raising Manager
(St Peter & St James Hospice)

"The BHBPA is a fantastic hub for our business community to get together and catch up, discuss important local issues and connect new and interesting enterprises."

Oliver Lashley , Director
(Pure Storm Digital Services )

"If Carlsberg did networking they would do it the BHBPA way. Each event is packed with great ideas, thought provoking presentations and fun. As a small business we feel supported and part of the community. We have built friendships and business relationships and there is always plenty of advice on hand to benefit us all so don’t hesitate to join whatever the nature of your business. "

Angela Gill, Managing Director
(Bio Productions Ltd)

"This association was started with a lot of effort from a few local businessmen and has proved to be a very powerful and useful tool for our business. The BHBPA has influence at the top level; when action is needed, the BHBPA gets it done. We are kept in touch with all that is happening on our doorstep and will often act because of what is published in the weekly emails / newsletters."
