News: Payroll Giving – SPSJ Hospice

St Peter & St James Hospice supports, empowers and cares for local people towards the end of life. We provide expert and compassionate hospice care to adults living with terminal illness in Haywards Heath, Burgess Hill, Lewes, Uckfield and the surrounding villages. All our services are free of charge, and we rely on the generosity of our community to help cover more than 80% of our running costs.

We are constantly looking at ways at generating future income, and after a lot of research, are keen to get involved with Payroll Giving.


So firstly please accept our apologies if your company already is involved in Payroll Giving, but we thought we would cast our net as widely as possible to let you know about this simple, flexible and tax effective way for your employees to donate to the hospice on a regular basis. To enable you to understand how Payroll Giving works, and how beneficial it could be to your staff and your company, we are attaching a document explaining how it works in practice.


If there is a designated person within your company who would deal with these sorts of initiatives, then could I please ask you to pass this letter on to him or her.  We would ideally like to visit your company to explain Payroll Giving in more detail, so if you are interested in getting involved, please contact me or Neil Taylor ( / 01444 470721) to arrange a meeting.
