Sutton Winson, your local Insurance Broker & Risk Manager, offers a warm welcome to Gareth Roberts who has joined as a Director with responsibility for Commercial Sales & Development and managing the Commercial teams in their two offices.

MD, David Thomson, commented – “As a Chartered Insurance Broker with more than 30 years industry experience, gained at Commercial Union, independent brokers and latterly Jelf, we are delighted Gareth has chosen to join Sutton Winson. His sales and management experience combined with his industry knowledge are a perfect fit for us and will be invaluable in ensuring the continued growth ambitions of the business are met”.

Gareth confirmed – “I am very excited to be returning to a proud Independent Broker with traditional values offering a first class service to its clients across a full proposition of products. As a privately owned business decisions are made locally and it is refreshing to be working again for a firm which cares greatly for its people and is committed to their continual development, as well as a business capable of making significant investments to ensure future success where digital capability is key. It is very clear that our people are our greatest asset and live the ethos of ‘putting the client at the centre of everything we do’. Insurance is a relationship led business and I am really looking forward to being part of a brokerage which values its insurance partners and in turn is greatly respected by them”.

Sutton Winson has offices in Twickenham, Middlesex and Burgess Hill, Sussex with a highly technical and skilled team offering insurance solutions for commercial, employee benefits, healthcare, credit and risk management. Clients are diverse in size, trade and geography with multinational clients placed via the UNiBA and AESIS global networks, which offers placement in up to 130 countries.

David added – “As a Chartered Insurance Broker the commitment to its people is demonstrated by Gold Accreditation for Investors in People, winning The Training Award at the 2018 UK Broker Awards and reaching the final of the Best Companies to work for in Insurance Broking in 2016”.

Picture comment: Gareth is pictured receiving his welsh shirt from David and relishes the prospect of working with a team proud of its people and clients whilst also retaining a strong sense of humour.

Testimonials

"Regular, well organised events, excellent updates and information by email along with a warm welcome from the Chair and Coordinator are just some of the positives at BHBPA."

Mike Oliver, Owner
(Mike Oliver Associates)

"“I have belonged to this group since I started my own business, Lea Graham Associates, in 1986. The association has been through several incarnations since then, but its most recent one, BHBPA, is by far the best.

It’s much more than just a networking group, although it is supremely good at that too. BHBPA is inclusive and friendly and acts like a mutual-support society. The events are stimulating, worthwhile and often great fun and I believe most members share this opinion.”"

Susan Fleet, Managing Director
(Lea Graham Associates)

"“We have been members of BHBPA from its inception, and seen the organisation steadily grow and expand into the dynamic entity it is today, bringing positive benefits to all its members.""

Peter Hook, Manager
(Computer Systems Engineers)

"The BHBPA is the most effective and dynamic business organisation I have ever worked with in over 30 years in Local Government. It has a very active and large membership whose points of view are taken seriously by all government structures. Peter Liddell does an excellent job in providing unique and enjoyable networking opportunities where members interact and discuss points of mutual interest. It provides a forum for businesses to discuss common issues, to share experiences and to play a powerful and meaningful role in the Burgess Hill community. The BHBPA provides important and credible support for all its members and ensures that their best interests are represented where necessary. "

Steve Cridland, CEO
