News: Travail Has Quality Temps

Posted on 19th July 2018

It’s that time of year again when our thoughts turn to holidays. It’s a great time of year as an employee and one which we look forward to all year, however as a business it can be a real challenge to cope with the numerous staff holidays. In addition, if your business experiences seasonal highs during summer, staffing levels may be an even bigger problem. This is where summer temps can be a fantastic solution, and bring with them so many additional benefits that you may not have considered…

Temporary workers can be very flexible – you hire them when you need them, for as long as you need them. This helps you avoid overloading your permanent staff in an attempt to cover the workload and means that productivity doesn’t dip. Often, temps are used to fitting into a variety of businesses which means that they integrate very quickly into your team and can hit the ground running.

Hiring a temp is a good way to trial someone before you take them on as a permanent staff member. This is a great way to see how well the temp fits into the business culture and team. If you think they are a perfect fit for you, depending on each individual temp’s circumstances, you then potentially have the option to extend their contract after the summer period and even hire them permanently.

This year has seen a ‘bumper’ year in available temporary candidates and students who are actively seeking work over the summer months. With a range of skills, experience, qualifications and lots of time on their hands, there might just be someone who could fill a gap for you this summer whilst existing team members take their well-deserved summer holidays.

Whether you need 1 or 10 people for a day, week or month to do admin or data entry / filling envelopes / outbound telemarketing/ picking and packing orders / assisting the accounts team / assembling mechanical goods – with our pool of wonderfully eager temps, we will nearly always be able to facilitate your request!

Please call our team if we can help you with quality temps to support you over the summer. All of our temps complete a robust interview and registration process and are thoroughly reference checked, as part of our commitment to you to provide the very best recruitment support.
If it’s permanent vacancies you are looking to fill though, we are continuously speaking with highly skilled, experienced and well educated or qualified individuals, hoping to help them in finding their next dream job! We thoroughly screen and meet everyone that we submit for the positions we work on as well, giving you total confidence in our service.

"“Sutton Winson have been members of the BHBPA for around 7 years. We have found it a great way to keep in touch with Burgess Hill businesses and to meet with likeminded people. It’s not just another “networking” group, as it tackles the real issues and gets things done”"

Bruce Millington, Manager
(Sutton Winson Ltd)

"The BHBPA is an energetic and vocal organisation that connects and empowers and informs the local business community acting as an effective conduit to local authority and other organisations. We are proud to be part of that community and the association."

Nick Broom, Managing Director
(PVL UK Ltd)

"This association was started with a lot of effort from a few local businessmen and has proved to be a very powerful and useful tool for our business. The BHBPA has influence at the top level; when action is needed, the BHBPA gets it done. We are kept in touch with all that is happening on our doorstep and will often act because of what is published in the weekly emails / newsletters."
