VENUE – Crown Plaza Felbridge, London Road, East Grinstead, West Sussex, RH19 2BH

What is mental toughness?

Mental Toughness is an aspect of our personality which determines how we deal with stress, pressure, opportunity and challenges. It is a valuable way of understanding why people act and respond the way they do when faced with events.
Every day we hear stories of how people are living with mental health problems. Everyone experiences “ups and downs” in their everyday life. Mental health problems affect 1 in 4 people. These problems can vary from depression, stress, anxiety to others such as schizophrenia. Reactions differ and can make you feel sad, angry, anxious, stressed, fearful or hopeless. Different events can trigger a variety of symptoms.
Understanding when someone might need help is a sensitive issue and people worry about what to say or do. We can all help support individuals who are experiencing a mental health problem, whether this is in or out of the workplace.

This conference will bring together global leaders on the assessment and development of mental toughness, mindset and resilience in individuals and organisations.

Testimonials

"“We have been members of BHBPA from its inception, and seen the organisation steadily grow and expand into the dynamic entity it is today, bringing positive benefits to all its members.""

Peter Hook, Manager
(Computer Systems Engineers)

"Since joining BHBPA we have found it to be a dynamic and vibrant members’ organisation, with excellent, regular and informative meetings.

Peter Liddell does a first class job in ensuring that members’ interests are aired and addressed.
"

Mark O'Shea, Partner
(Rawlison Butler)

"The BHBPA is the most effective and dynamic business organisation I have ever worked with in over 30 years in Local Government. It has a very active and large membership whose points of view are taken seriously by all government structures. Peter Liddell does an excellent job in providing unique and enjoyable networking opportunities where members interact and discuss points of mutual interest. It provides a forum for businesses to discuss common issues, to share experiences and to play a powerful and meaningful role in the Burgess Hill community. The BHBPA provides important and credible support for all its members and ensures that their best interests are represented where necessary. "

Steve Cridland, CEO
(Burgess Hill Town Council)

"“I can’t speak highly enough of the BHBPA. As a small local business we feel very much part of a community and thoroughly enjoy the annual exhibition and meetings throughout the year. Over the years we have built fantastic working relationships with many BHBPA members and every meeting and event offers us opportunities to work with more. This is networking at its best! ” "

Judi Arditi, Director
(Travail Employment Group)
